Pretty soon, American automotive giant Ford is going to release the 2021 Mustang Mach-E to the market. But is it worth it?
There are already many car companies that have started going down the electric route. Unfortunately, most of these traditional companies haven’t picked up yet regarding their E-vehicles sales – something the now Texas-based Tesla accepts as a piece of good news. However, things may change when 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is released to the public. Word has it that pre-sales for the new electric Ford vehicle are skyrocketing. Could this give Elon Musk’s company a run for their money? Let’s look at the possibilities.
2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E: What To Expect
The Ford Mustang Mach-E is the first all-electric crossover offered by the American carmaker. Its 2021 model may just be better, depending on what you’re looking for. Those who have been in awe with the Mustang’s exterior design may say that this all-electric crossover is highly similar to the old, fuel-powered one. Although that may be true, that’s the only similarity between the two.
The 2021 model has two options for battery size. Speaking of options, you can also choose between a rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. Regardless of what you will choose, Ford claims that the 2021 Mach-E can run up to 300 mph, depending on the configuration.
The car company wasn’t stingy in putting features in this crossover. Mustang fans (or even those who aren’t) can expect modern features and state-of-the-art infotainment options that everyone would really love. If you think that pony cars like a Mustang are not viable for those who carry a lot when traveling, you got it wrong. Designers of this crossover came up with cargo and storage solutions to stack things in with ease. The 2021 Mach-E can fit up to five passengers inside its cabin, making it perfect for a mid-size family.
Ford May Win Over Tesla, But…
If you’re going to compare the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E with the Tesla Model Y, then the latter wins by only a hair. That said, the Mach-E may have a better chance at throwing the Model Y off the top spot. However, the competition between the two may not happen anytime soon.
According to this report by Auto Evolution, the new Mach-E release has been stumped by a stop-sale over. Why? Apparently, there is a quality issue that needs to be sorted out first. The time of delay may go up to 60 days, according to the Ford Authority. If you’re looking for more details, unfortunately, Ford will not give out details at the moment.
“As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality vehicles,” a Ford spokesperson said, “we are conducting additional quality checks on several hundred Mustang Mach-E models built before dealer shipments started last month. As part of our quality process, we want to ensure they meet the quality our customers expect and deserve.”
For now, Mustang lovers may have to wait a bit longer for the release of the new 2021 Mach-E. For now, you can check out some of the vehicles in our listings. It has different car brands, including Ford.
