There are a lot of car features that are already available to medium-priced cars, such as heated seats, voice recognition, and infotainment system. So for now, we can check what are the most advanced car features of today. This way, we would know what to expect in a more affordable car in months to come.

Tesla Model 3’s Autopilot and Full Self-Driving Capability

Many people would think that Tesla Model 3 is a rechargeable computer that moves around. But it’s so much more than that, it’s considered a technological breakthrough for a reason. Model 3 comes with a lot of car tech features that focus on safety and assistance. Plus, all Model 3’s are environment friendly, with an average EPA of at least 250 miles. Top models are even better, as they can travel as far as 322 miles with one charging session.

You may be stunned by this Tesla vehicle’s features, like blind-spot monitoring and emergency braking. Still, nothing comes close with its autopilot feature. This may not be news to a lot of car and Tesla fans. Still, Autopilot allows the vehicle to brake, steer, and accelerate without a driver’s help. Not only that, Tesla offers the “Full Self-Driving” feature that lets the car can virtually drive on its own. This feature comes with a hefty price tag, though. For only $7,000, you would be able to gain this technological advancement.

Despite the features’ name, this doesn’t mean that you can now sleep your way to Nana’s house as the Model 3 drives on its own. That may sound exciting, but the feature still needs strict supervision.

Be that as it may, it is still one of the most high-tech car features that everyone should look out for. Soon, you may be able to take a snooze while driving.

2020 Chevrolet Corvette’s Magnetic Ride Control

Yes, the fabled carmaker made the wise ‘move’ of putting their 2020 Corvette Stingrays to the middle. For something that’s considered a luxury car by some, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette – with all its high-tech car features – doesn’t break the bank. Well, not as much as the other luxury cars, at least.

The 2020 Corvette boasts many things, such as the customizable brake system and the infotainment system that is both entertaining and informative. One thing that this car has that other ones don’t have is its Magnetic Ride Control feature. This feat provides six driving modes, which, of course, the driver can choose from. One of the modes is the intriguing “Z-mode,” which is a sort of homage to the Corvette’s Z06, Z51, and ZR1. Aside from its high-tech car features, it has a powerful 490jp, fed by the 6.2-liter V8.

The only caveat then was the delay in the production. However, with all the elegance and sophistication that comes with the 2020 Corvette, the wait must be worth it.

2020 BMW’s iDrive 7 System

People find it entertaining when they see a BMW pass by. But are the drivers and passengers as entertained when they’re inside the vehicle? Based on experience, yes! Every BMW vehicle is a joy itself, with all the entertainment features that come with it. The German manufacturer has taken their entertainment game to the next level with their iDrive System, making every travel more entertaining than ever.

So what comes with this high-tech car feature? One thing’s for sure, it doesn’t come with just entertainment features. In fact, this infotainment system also comes with a long list of drivetrain and safety features. The iDrive 7 system comes with a substantial 10.2-inch touchscreen on the entertainment side of things, which serves as the center console control for run navigation. For a more movie-like or concert-like experience, the system comes with a 16-speaker surround audio from Bowers and Wilkins. For the tech-savvy, the Wi-Fi hotspot and Apple CarPlay are available.

It doesn’t stop there, however. The gesture control feature allows the driver and passenger to use the feature with hand motions. With the Intelligent Personal Assistant feature added recently, users can adjust entertainment and climate settings using voice commands.

2018 Volvo XC60’s 360-Degree Surround Camera

Perhaps the 360-degree camera is one of the most refreshing car tech innovations lately. Usually, cars have cameras installed one at the back and one at the front. For those cars that don’t have any cameras, they can mount dashcam. These cameras have limits on their range; this only means there are many spots that the cameras will miss. That’s why the 360-degree camera is a brilliant upgrade to the one-dimensional cameras installed by most cars.

Although this type of car camera has been around since 2018, not a lot of people are aware that this kind of tech already exists. That is because only a few vehicles have utilized this camera. One of the few cars that have this new high-tech car feature is the 2018 Volvo XC60.

So how does the visual surround camera work? Instead of limited-range cameras installed in several car locations, the surround-type camera is all these cameras stitched into one. 360-degree surround cameras are usually placed on strategic points around the car. You would have a more detailed view of the vehicle’s surroundings. In short, no more blind spots. This camera system would help the driver maneuver better when parking, when in reverse, and basically have a better view.

Apart from the 360-degree surround camera, the Volvo XC60 also has a lot to offer. From its comfortable and minimalist design, which the Scandinavians are known for, to its portrait-style center screen.

2021 Cadillac CT4’s Super Cruise System

Last on this list of high-tech car features is definitely not the least. In fact, it is a great contender for Tesla’s autopilot technology. That is the 2021 Cadillac CT$’s Super Cruise System.

We’ve already mentioned that there are no perfect self-driving car features – at least not yet. Although, many people are still hopeful that this high-tech car feature will be perfected soon. The ones we already have may already cover a lot of safety issues existing. However, these semi-autonomous systems still require drivers to pay attention to driving. Perhaps, this is the only box left to tick.

Here comes General Motors’s Super Cruise system, which they will roll out in Cadillac’s newer lines, specifically the 2021 Cadillac CT4. This luxury car may be small, but with the Super Cruise, it definitely stands out, garnering praises from testers. So what does the Super Cruise system do? It doesn’t only lessen the driver’s burden of having their eyes on the road, it also alerts the driver to keep engaged when driving. The alert will turn off once the driver goes back to driving.

If this high-tech car feature excites you, you probably should know by now that the 2021 Cadillac CT4 is now available in the market.

In Conclusion

There you have it, five of the best high-tech car features to look out for. As we mentioned, most of these features are available in luxury cars, so it may take some time to trickle down on more affordable vehicles. If you’re not looking for luxury cars, there are still used cars for sale with the tech car features you may need. Check this vehicle inventory if you’re looking for one right now. All vehicles in this inventory underwent a thorough car reconditioning to ensure the effectiveness of their technology.
