A Ford Fusion recall is now taking place due to brake issues.

Ford Motor Company and its Lincoln brand are facing a significant recall that could affect the braking performance of their two mid-size sedans, the Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ. Involving over 1 million vehicles from 2013-2018, this recall concerns drivers dependent on reliable brake performance.

The issue is related to a vacuum pump problem that can gradually cause brakes to become less effective and require greater pedal force. If addressed, this issue can improve vehicle handling. But, in addition, it can increase stopping distance, potentially leading to crashes or worse.

To address this recall, dealers will replace the electric vacuum pump in affected models free of charge. The good news is that Ford has already begun sending notifications to affected vehicle owners. So you should expect to hear from your dealer shortly if you have a 2013-2018 Ford Fusion or Lincoln MKZ.

Suppose you believe your car is affected by this recall even though you have not received a notification. In that case, contacting your local dealership as soon as possible is essential. You can also check the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website and search for ‘Ford Motor Company Recall Number 19S32’ to learn more about the recall and how it affects specific models.

As A Ford User, Please Don’t Take This Lightly

It’s essential to take care of any recalls on your vehicle since they are put into place for safety reasons. If you need help figuring out whether the Ford Fusion recall affects you, don’t hesitate to contact your dealer for assistance. Please don’t ignore this recall; make sure you take care of it as soon as possible! Doing so will help ensure the brakes of your Ford Fusion or Lincoln MKZ are operating as intended, keeping you and everyone else on the road safe.

Also, it is worth noting that Ford has seen a few other recalls recently, including ones for their F-150 pickups and Escape SUVs. If you own either of these vehicles, check if any active recalls issued by Ford Motor Company could affect them. Taking care of recalls quickly will keep you safe and give your car a better chance of lasting longer in the long run.

With this latest recall, it’s essential to stay informed about any upcoming safety concerns with your car and to take action when necessary. Doing so can help you avoid potentially dangerous situations and keep your vehicle running as safely and efficiently as possible. Check with Ford Motor Company, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and your local dealership for any updates and recall-related information. Taking these few simple steps can help ensure the safety of you and those around you on the road.
